3rd Annual Steve Serra Golf Tournament

The 3rd Annual Steve Serra Golf Tournament was held on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Limestone Springs Golf Club in Oneonta, AL. The day was filled with sunshine, making it a fitting celebration of Steve Serra’s life and the legacy he continues to inspire. Friends, family, and community members came together to honor Steve’s passion for giving back—a tradition carried forward today through Serra Hyundai and the broader Serra family of dealerships.

Among those in attendance were Steve’s mother, Shirley Serra, his sister Kristina with her three sons, Max, Joe, and Vince, as well as Steve’s children, Jack and Bella Serra. Nearly 100 participants and volunteers dedicated their time to help make the event a heartfelt tribute to Steve’s vision and values.

A Day With Family And Friends

Like the first two tournaments, this year’s event welcomed both family members and dealership associates, including those from Birmingham, Trussville, and Irondale. Teams enjoyed the challenge of an 18-hole championship course set across the rolling hills of the Appalachian Mountains. The natural beauty of the course created the perfect atmosphere for connection, reflection, and community. Everyone Was A Winner

Competition took place in two groups—the Serra Family division and the Serra Associates division—with cash prizes and recognition awarded to standout performers:

Family Competition:

• First Place – $800: Jack Serra, Garrett Yarmowich, Britton Rembert, Brooks Berry
• Second Place – $400: Max Visser, Vince Visser, Bella Serra, Dylan Cox
• Third Place – $200: William Yielding, Lee Wilson, Carson Bee, Noah Bee

Associates Competition:

• First Place – $800: Zack Vickers, Chris Piola, Brandon Michaelis, Stephen Pike
• Second Place – $400: George Jones, Kenny Key, Michael McLeod, Rodney Cox
• Third Place – $200: Morgan Smith, Russ Campbell, Meghan Barnes, Jonathon Barnes

Individual Honors: Stephen Pike earned the Closest to the Pin award, Garrett Yarmowich claimed the Longest Drive, and Billy Chelagat with David Lewis received recognition as the highest scoring team. Winners were awarded gift cards, a complimentary golf round, and all participants went home with commemorative gifts like polos, golf balls, tees, and keepsakes.

The tournament began with a group photo on the first green, followed by breakfast, lunch, and plenty of shared memories. It was a day that celebrated Steve Serra’s lasting influence and underscored the commitment of Serra Hyundai’s community involvement to keep his vision alive.
