He made sure I was comfortable when test driving, and only showed me cars that fit my budget and my needs! This is one of the easiest five-star reviews I've ever written. Picture this: You're in the middle of a cross-country military move. Your SUV is packed with everything that didn't fit on the moving truck, and irreplaceable sentimental memories. Your entire family is in the vehicle. The cats are along for the ride. A tropical storm rolls in. Then your engine warning light comes on...and within 40 seconds your vehicle loses power on the interstate. ...That was us. Hyundai Roadside Assistance brought us to Serra Hyundai, where we arrived tired, stressed, and honestly wondering what kind of nightmare we were about to experience. Instead, we met one of the kindest service teams I've encountered. They welcomed our entire family, provided a comfortable place to wait, kept us informed throughout the process, and treated us with genuine empathy. Tucked away in a quiet corner of the waiting area, we finally had a chance to breathe. We recharged every battery we owned - our phones, laptops, and honestly, ourselves. Even our cats, who remained quietly in their carrier the entire time, settled in without disturbing a single customer. It was such a small accommodation, but after being stranded on the side of the interstate in a tropical storm, it meant everything. Great customer service isn't measured by how a business treats people on an ordinary Tuesday. It's measured by how they care for strangers on one of the worst days of their journey. The diagnosis was heartbreaking **but not because of Serra**. A dealership that had serviced the vehicle only days earlier had failed to properly reinstall the oil drain plug after an oil change. It eventually fell out while we were driving, draining the engine oil and leaving us stranded on the highway. See the pictures attached, they are worth a thousand words. Serra Hyundai inherited someone else's disaster. They never once acted inconvenienced. They simply got to work helping us. Businesses reveal their true culture when customers arrive on their worst day. Serra Hyundai passed that test with flying colors. Hopefully I'll never break down in Alabama again, but if I ever do, Serra Hyundai is exactly where I'd want to end up.
